What in the World is Going On? (10 Prophetic Clues You Cannot Afford to Ignore): Events unfolding in today’s world are certainly unsettling, but they need not be confusing or frightening. This book study authored by Dr. David Jeremiah, Pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church, shines the light of the Scriptures on 21st century world events and offers a well-researched, compelling primer on God’s heart for Israel and the dramatic Bible prophecies that will unfold in these last days. Come join our class as we discover the meaning behind what we see in the daily news and understand what in the world is going on! This class is facilitated by Tom Flickinger and meets in Room 14.
Leading Small Groups: If you are a small group leader or have considered becoming one, this is your class. We will discuss the role of small groups in our church, the role of the leader, how to be an effective leader and how to maintain the health of your group. It will also be a great time to get and share ideas with other small group leaders. Come join us! This class is facilitated by Mark Eben and meets in Room 15.
Financial Peace University, (Cont.): FPU is a life-changing program that teaches you how to make the right decisions with your money. You'll be empowered with the practical skills and confidence needed to achieve your financial goals and experience true financial peace! This biblically based, video driven small group study teaches families to beat debt, build wealth and give like never before. This course will be continuing into the second quarter and wrapping up in January. If you are interested in previewing FPU, join us. This class is facilitated by Brad Hofmeyer and meets in the Library.
10:15-11:30am
Starting Point: Are you new or a recent guest to Faith Church? Would you like to learn more about the church? Then make your way to the Hospitality Room right after the first service. Refreshments and treats are served. We will talk about the morning message, share some prayer concerns all in a casual setting. You are welcome to join us at any time. Starting Point is facilitated by David Naidl, Ryan Kauth, and Jack Schmeisser.
Young Adults: Using the sermon from the previous hour, we’ll take a look at questions designed to further explore the message. This class is facilitated by Andy Wheeler and meets in the Youth Room.
Nehemiah: Join us as we follow along with Nehemiah on the third and last return to Jerusalem after the Babylonian Exile. You will be encouraged as you watch Nehemiah, a disciplined planner and a dependent prayer warrior, overcome his enemies and solve a host of problems as he leads the Israelites in accomplishing the rebuilding of the city walls in just 52 days. If you are looking to study a book of the Bible that is loaded with leadership, spiritual, moral and social principles, this great Old Testament book is it! This class is facilitated by Glenn Schulz and meets in the Library.
Biblical Womanhood: Biblical Womanhood by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. This ABF for women only will use audio presentations by Nancy Leigh DeMoss covering God's Beautiful Design for Women. Applicable for women of all ages and at every life stage. This class is facilitated by Lisa Stricklin and meets in the Conference Room.
Learn to Study the Bible: This class is for beginners and Christians who have been reading the Bible for many years, but have never learned how to study it. Studying the Bible is essential for Christian growth, spiritual maturity, and spiritual effectiveness. In this class, based on a book by Prof. Howard Hendricks (Dallas Theological Seminary), you will:
1. Find a simple, proven process for discovering the meanings of passages in the Bible.
2. Gain a valuable sense of self-confidence in your ability to handle Scripture.
3. Experience the joy of personal discovery.
4. Deepen your relationship with God.
It is wonderful if you read the Word and if you place yourself under the Word by coming to church every Sunday. But God has more for you in His Word. No need to study Greek and Hebrew. If you can read, you can learn to really study the Bible. It will change your life. This class is facilitated by Dave Hanson and Pastor Pat Hanson and meets in Room 1.
Living in 3-D: The Apostle Paul lived his life in 3-D. He is quoted in 1 Corinthians 9:22 as saying this: “I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some”. Where has God placed you? Who lives next to you and next to whom do you work with? We will explore your life as a Christian and find out what it looks like for you to live in 3-D. This class is facilitated by Paul Liermann and Tom Tomasik and meets in Room 14.
